VE Day 2018.05.09

I received these stamps on May 2nd, on (a rather peaceful) postcard from Russia which I published on one of my other blogs.

But the stamps were all the more relevant to commemorate VE Day today, given the fact that at least 3 came from the Weapons of Victories series issued in 2009.

edit :
In fact thanks to my good friend from Russia Anastasia, she indicated to me that the card is related to WWI & WWII since it shows the monument of Iosif Rodionovich Apanasenko.

The church behind the monument is the Kazanskiy Cathedral in Stavropol.

So here you have the frontside as well :

Thanks a lot Anastasia for the precious help!
